Voted 2010 Evergreen Business of the Year by the Chamber of Commerce

MOUNTAIN HOME

We are proud to award Mountain Home as the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce 2010 Business of the Year. You have been nominated by your business peers and selected by a Chamber Selection Committee as an outstanding business that excels over and beyond expectations.

Ted purchased The Hardware in 1976. The barn was built in 1940 and is part of Hiwan Homestead. Mountain Home was located in the old bunk house across from The Hardware until 2006 when The Hardware closed. This move expanded their quadrupled their space! Kay attributes much of her success to her employees. She feels they are dedicated individuals who promote exceptional customer service and all have a unique design sense. After the move to the barn, sales grew and they participated in the Denver Parade of Homes. This exposure brought business up from Denver not only to Mountain Home, but to other Evergreen businesses as well. They currently host five receptions a year featuring local artists which is fabulous for our community. Mountain Home is partnered with three other businesses, Pangea Carpet, Mountain Kitchen and Bath, and Rocky Mountain Log Furniture, that cooperatively work very well together. People simple view the Evergreen Design Center as a service business with a strong sense of community.

You are being honored for your generous contributions to the community, professionalism in customer service, your creative business model and dedication of support to the Evergreen Chamber. Mountain Home is the epitome of a business that understands the value of partnerships and working with other businesses in the community. Congratulations to you and your staff.
